We The Creators

"We the Creators" is a visual journey into the heart of creativity, spotlighting a dynamic creative agency and band based in Denver, Colorado. This compelling documentary captures the essence of what it truly means to be a creator, weaving together the passion, sense of community, and the shared successes of these artistic individuals. Through their story, we'll discover what drives these individuals to create and how their unique perspectives enrich the creative scene of Denver, Colorado, serving as inspiration for other creatives who aspire to do the same.

My Roles and Contributions:

Process Overview:

• Developed for Jaime L. Jacobsen's Documentary Video Production class, JTC 345, at Colorado State University.

• The film titled "We the Creators" focuses on the creativity and stories of Jason and Andrea.

Role as Executive Producer:

• Led communications and coordination efforts within the team.

• Initiated and managed all communications with subjects, ensuring team alignment with cc'ed emails.

• Organized logistical aspects, including scheduling trips to Denver.

Role as Interview Conductor:

• Created a comfortable and welcoming environment for interviews.

• Emphasized genuine, unscripted conversations.

• Employed advanced listening and engagement techniques to deepen interview dialogues.

Role as Co-Director, Editor, and Videographer:

• Collaborated in directing, editing, and filming, ensuring a coherent narrative and visual consistency.

• Planned shot sequences and scenes considering location and space for optimal storytelling.
